Air Quality

Most of our time is spent within our homes, indoors. Make sure you have good air flow and ventilation within your home. This is key to the health of you and your family. Areas that are poorly ventilated can produce toxic mold faster than areas with better air flow.

Residues from chemical vapors, smoke, and dust can build up within your home causing your air to be more dangerous to your health than the air outdoors.

Poor Ventilation Signs to Look For

  • A stagnant smell of mold/mildew within closed-in rooms such as closets and pantries.
  • When you cook the smell of food sticks around too long
  • Symptoms of Allergies: Watery eyes, Runny Nose, etc.
  • The inside of your windows become filled with condensation

Chemicals

Many of the chemicals we use within and around our homes can be bad for our breathing. It is important that the rooms in your home is well ventilated to allow the chemicals to escape into the outdoor air and not linger around inside. Look for odors from the following chemicals to know if you have a ventilation issue:

Particles in the Air

Particles like the following can be in your air and cause you allergic or respiratory issues if ventilation in the property is not of standard.

Moisture in the Air

Moisture in the air can damage the structure of your property as well as cause mold to form. It can also cause allergy issue because it promotes the growth of mildew, bacteria, insects, and even dry rot.
